Integration with a Few Attributes

I started attending John Abbott College here in Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue this September, in the program called "Police Technology." To be honest with you, I was too young for it so I got put into "Pathways." It was okay with me; less of a workload, more free time (although I don't know where that went!), etc.

I had only two goals in mind when I first entered the program: The first one was to do my best, give it my best shot, and never slack off. My second was let's say, a little bit different. I wanted a shirt. I wanted to represent. So the Police Technology instructors told us about halfway through October that we could, as a matter of fact, get a shirt with the words "Police Technology Pathways" written on it! I thought to myself, fantastic!

So I ordered the shirt for a reasonable price and I got ityesterday. Here's a picture of my shirt and my proud self:

Now I really feel like I'm part of the program, or at least soon to be. :)

Hallowe'en 2012

Best holiday, don't you think? Well, if only it were a holiday.
I must say, I really enjoy Hallowe'en. I find it was one of the best times of the year, as well as Christmas. It's that time where I can have so much fun and be myself and not having to worry about it. Here's what my girlfriend and I looked like this year:

What were you dressed up as for Hallowe'en this year? Feel free to comment!

Gaspésie and More

Yes, yet another great trip in the same summer! Now you may think it was nothing like Italy, but let me tell you it was as magical. Like one of my past posts has mentioned, I was dreaming of meeting the girl I met in my online Physics class. Well, I did. It was sixteen hours of driving but hey, it was so worth it. Not only was she beautiful and kind, but so was her family. It was such a great experience to be with her and her family.

Not only was she pretty, but also was the destination - the Gaspé! Percy Rock was absolutely astounding, with its beautiful shores and waters, and plenty of  magnificent Blue Whales!

My girlfriend and I went back to her hometown again in early October for Thanksgiving. It was so great to see her family again, and the Gaspé. It's just so great to feel loved and appreciated for what I do and who I am. They're really all special. I love them all!

Under the Sun of Italy

Ahhh, the beautiful and hot sun to warm our bodies 'til they began to soak. Everyday. That's what Italy brings to its proud Canadian visitors. I say proud because the trip wouldn't even have existed without three hard-working years of dedicated fundraising. This trip really was something. It was great. It was a brand new experience; rejuvenating, and relaxing, preparing us for a punch to the face that was going to hit us so hard: college. But we were ready, at least most of us, to take it and to push it away!

Nothing felt better than having the nice, warm breeze in our face all the way up on the edge of a crater of Mt. Etna. Not only did this amazing eleven-day trip bring us a new glance at the world, but I believe it brought us closer. We really were a family, united; it was us against the world. Or maybe the hot Italian climate, whichever. It didn't matter though because we knew that, when we got back to our hotel, we could always refresh ourselves...

Yup, that's right. :)

Christopher

A.K.A. my best friend forever, Christopher is the real joker. I've known him for more than eight years. We've practically lived through everything since grade 3 and we're still there for each other.

This guy is the funniest person alive. He will make the silliest comment, the weirdest joke, and the worse bad-calls. Those are exactly the characteristics you need to look for when finding a friend because, believe me, you'll never be bored or sad with him around!

Now yes, like everyone, he has his bad days. But being surrounded by so many friends cheers him up right away and he then ends up cheering us up. He's simply incredible!

Best thing is, we're both going to college - together! Hopefully we'll be study-buddies, in addition to party-buddies...

My Girlfriend

One of the most important person in my life: My girlfriend, Courtney.
You might just think this is so cute until I flip your mind around by saying that she lives about fifteen hours away from where I live. But you know what? The distance and wait are worthwhile.

I'll start from the very beginning, in September 2011. Through the LEARN website, she and I ended up taking the same courses: Physics and Chemistry. She decided to add me on Facebook, and that marked the start of a wonderful relationship. Thousands of texts and hundreds of hours on the phone every month with this girl and I still can't get enough.

So, since September, we have wished and dreamed to meet―and it's going to happen, this July. I've heard things from friends and acquaintances... Things like "you're doing a big mistake Joey, reality isn't like on the phone or texting." Well I'm up for the challenge. I love this girl and I don't know where I would stop for her. I mean, her personality can't change that much. I just can't wait to meet her. This might be cheesy but, she's just the one.

All my love to you, Courtney.

Baby at the Job

Ever since I was as tall as a ruler or two, I've wanted to become a police officer.
To be honest with you, the flashing headlights and astounding sirens were the first thing that got to me. But hey, why not paramedics? Fire-fighters? Well, for some reason, I loved to see those red and blue lights flashing 50 meters away from the car I wished I was in.

A few years later, in grade 5 or 6, I was offered to partake in the "cop-for-a-day" event at my school. I can truly say I had two birthdays that year, haha!

I do have a feeling of accomplishment, presently speaking. I've stuck to my goal and dream and astonishingly enough, I still want and dream to become a police officer (for more reasons than simply the headlights and sirens, of course). I've kept my grades high and physical capabilities strengthened, which eased my acceptance into the police program at John Abbott College, another step forward.

Who knows; maybe in a few years, I'll be giving you a ticket.
